You will find that a lot of girls do not actually wear makeup, and that is totally fine! Everyone is naturally beautiful in their own way, and beauty has always and always will truly be in the eye of the beholder. The term ‘ugly’ is quite offensive. By saying ‘guys don’t even like it’ you are speaking for every male out there, which I honestly don’t believe you have the evidence to back up. Guys are all different and sure, some don’t like it! But a lot do. In fact, some like it so much that they wear it themselves, which again, is totally fine! It is a form of art, and a way to express ones self in endless ways. Just as fashion and music is. One extremely common misconception is that makeup is used only to conceal insecurities. Sure, it can be used in that way, but I know for a fact that I and many other women thoroughly enjoy applying my makeup as part of my daily routine. It’s a very creative, fun and even threapeutic process. I of course, cannot answer for every girl in the world, just as you cannot speak for every guy in the world. But I can tell you this, makeup has been an extremely popular way of expressing ones self for centuries. A lot of tribes used and still use a form of makeup to illustrate their heritage etc during the Renaissance period, the Victorian times, the Egyptians - all through history! The list is endless. There is absolutely no evidence that makeup promotes Dysgenics, and these days there are so many companies such as Aveda and Body Shop that use all natural and organic ingredients. So, with that in mind that was a very misinformed statement to make! I understand you have an opinion, and appreciate your ask - I enjoyed answering it! However, I cannot agree with you and suggest you do a bit more research before speaking so passionately. Have a lovely day Anon x
